April 2025 Newsletter
We have entered the period of high-stakes testing! All students in grades 3 through 8 have commenced the computerized version of the AASA state assessment. Additionally, our 5th and 8th graders have successfully completed the computerized AZSci assessment. This week remains dedicated to testing, and teachers will continue to require your support to ensure that students perform to the best of their abilities.
Please consult the calendar to confirm that your children attend school on time during their testing days. It is important to note that students who participate in make-up testing tend to perform less effectively than those who test with their peers.
We are committed to fostering a positive atmosphere on campus throughout this testing period. Please ensure that your children arrive at school punctually each day, are well rested, and maintain a positive mindset. They will benefit from additional breaks
throughout the day.
Continue to reassure your children of their preparedness for these assessments and express our confidence in their abilities to succeed.
Furthermore, we would like to remind you of our upcoming Family Fun Night Celebration, which will honor the 30th anniversary of the Mesa Arts Academy. We invite you to join us on April 25, 2025.
Lastly, I would like to congratulate our outstanding Color Guard students for their impressive performance in competition. Keep up the excellent work!
With deepest appreciation,
Joyce Oyer
