November 2024 Newsletter
Dear Mesa Arts Academy Community,
I would like to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families for a joyous Thanksgiving and a wonderful holiday season. In the upcoming weeks, many of you will likely be busy preparing for visits from family and friends. As we navigate this festive season, it is essential to consider how these holiday interruptions may affect our students. I encourage you to take an extra moment to help your child maintain focus and stay on task with their schoolwork, while also enjoying this time of year.
Please welcome our MAAPO leadership team leaders. We are fortunate to have supportive parents and a committed community, with MAAPO leading the way. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for all that you do to contribute to the success of MAA. Furthermore, we are privileged to have exceptional students who challenge themselves daily to learn and engage, motivating us to become better educators and individuals. They are the reason we come to work each day.
Our priority remains the safety and well-being of our students. Please remember that children must stay home until they are fever-free for a full 24 hours without the use of medication for any illness. I kindly ask that you assess your children each morning before they leave for school and keep them at home if they are unwell, particularly if they have a fever. It is crucial not to administer fever-reducing medications and then send them to school, as a fever can indicate a contagious condition that may pose a risk to others.
As we look ahead, please note that out winter showcases are approaching; refer to the calendar I included in this newsletter for specific dates and times. I eagerly anticipate witnessing the talents of our remarkable students.
Thank you for being an integral part of the Mesa Arts Academy family.
With deepest appreciation,
Joyce Oyer
